    The hope for today's early starters as dawn broke in Tianjin was that they would enjoy a role reversal and be able to record a good score before the later winds arrived. However, with the temperature way down, this was not to be as defending champion Nicolas Colsaerts was amongst the first out. Almost in an act of defiance, he bettered his first day score and posted a superb 5-under 67 which included an eagle three for the second day running at the 572-yard second. Such is his length off the tee, that Colsaerts only needed a 7-iron for his second shot which he duly left close to the pin. Afterwards he said, "It got really tough out there about halfway through the round. The wind really started to blow and the temperature went down about ten degrees."
